It uses the latest available vbulletin forum software, so to the uninitiated, thats PROPER software and not the ten a penny free forums that you find.
There will be NO ADVERTS.
I will host it, and if people are willing then I will need about six moderators.
In the meantime, I'd like people to go to the url above and try out the new forum.
It's totally customisable with all of the benefits of a vbulletin forum, the only downside is that it isn't the fully released version so there may be a bug or two.
Believe me, these are the best forums available. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth!!!

Compiled means I left at Full Time due to some of us have to be up in the morning, so Mark helped me out with extra time. But if you did miss the match, think yourself lucky as United put in an awful performance against a rather poor Eastbourne United Association side. United should’ve won the tie but for some poor marking and some very good goalkeeping from veteran goalkeeper Dave Browning United have to travel to The Oval on Tuesday evening to try and get into the third round. United didn’t tell the truth when the side named was mainly a reserve side, when United told us it would be the strongest side possible. But it was up to Steve Lovell and really didn’t have much to laugh about in the first half, with the match only lightening up when United took the lead. A very poor start with poor passing, but Eastbourne ran at United but didn’t bother much.
United nearly took the lead on 20 minutes when 16 year old Dominic Cruttenden ran past two defenders into the box and his shot was parried away by Browning, but when the ball was returned Ryan Peters shot well wide of the mark. A minute later Steve Sands attempted cross turned into a shot which hit the op of the crossbar. But on 23 minutes United broke the deadlock, Ryan Peters shot hit the crossbar and Tony Burt was there to head home. Ian Young’s evening ended early when he went off after 32 minutes with a back injury.
United were more in the game, but still poor passing and poor clearing by United made the game much worse, it was a real county league game, hardly any skill involved, even worse than the reserves second half on Saturday. The half ended with Eastbourne getting an undeserved equaliser, a ball went through the box, and Mark Warren stuck his leg out the ball rebounded off it and into the top corner. A bit of luck is all we need, they said.
The second half was poorer than the first, Eastbourne were more in the game but United still held out, Ryan Peters should some Eastern Division class, making Browning pull off two great saves, but still no goals. Ricky Spiller tried hard but still no goals, as the game went into extra time. United went into extra time the better side but the match didn’t get much better in entertainment. With the first half of extra time showing that Eastbourne weren’t as unfit as we thought, they had a bench full of subs compared to our none we only had two, we used both inside 63 minutes. Eastbourne made a couple of attacks, but United players like Dominic Cruttenden were going overtime, showing that 16 year olds can’t really hold out for that long, but he didn’t complain, I bet he did when he woke up next morning and went to school an I’m not joking (he does go to school). But Dominic got what he deserved in the second half of extra time when he collected the ball and shot past Browning to give what United fans thought was the winning goal.
But how wrong they were when on 115 minutes Scott McDonald on the edge of the area unmarked got the ball and stroked the ball home with ease. But Ryan Peters had a last gasp effort well saved, it wasn’t enough though as United visit Eastbourne on Tuesday evening 18th that is.
HASTINGS UNITED 2 Eldridge 38 Min, Sherwood 75 Min.
Attendance 680
United have nothing to be ashamed of going home tonight as they put in a spirited performance at high flying kings Lynn. Considering this was a much weakened United side, without the experience of Tony Burt still out due to a sting, and Jimmy Elford who got crocked on Tuesday at Fleet, and considering Mark Green’s gone back to Gillingham we were stretched at the back. Which ment David Henham, Russell Eldridge, and Kieren Startup being the main back three, with Steve Sands and Mitchell Sherwood working the wings. Chris Honey came back into the starting line-up. But Ryan Peters, Steve Hafner, and new signing Ian Youngs in the reserves, United didn’t have the side we wanted.
Kings Lynn started the more dominant, with last gasp defending by Kieren Startup (who’s starting to look better each game) and David Henham giving United a space to breath. But on 18 minutes ex Stamford front runner Malcolm Ndekwe ran through and blasted a point blank shot at Will Toal who superbly parried away for the corner, but the corner was flung in a header deflected the ball to the ground at the back post where Ndekwe was, who hammered the ball home to give the mid-landers a 1-0 advantage. United were held back as it showed Kings Lynn wanted to get a healthy lead and sit back in the second half, but United hadn’t read the script with great defending with Russell Eldridge playing exceedingly well keeping Ndekwe out time after time. But fans called for a penalty but nothing was given as the linesman said Ndekwe had fallen over.
But United had revenge on 38 minutes, when a free kick was given from 25 yards out and Russell blasted the ball into the net with the free kick. United were with their backs against the walls for the rest of the 7 minutes remaining until half time. But United had held off one of the best sides I’ve seen this year, let alone season. But Kings Lynn had a penalty just three minutes after the break, but a feeble shot from Holmes let Toal have time to get down to the ball and parry it away, a great thing for a goalkeeper boosted his confidence as United did attack a bit more but some good saves from Toal kept United in the game. Chris Honey had one of the notable good chances when he took the ball past two defenders but his shot was blocked and put away for a corner.
But on 70 minutes Kings Lynn resumed service when they took the lead, a free kick came in and super sub Richard Woodrow headed home. United had their heads in their hands but still Steve Lovell was drumming them on, but it didn’t work when only three minutes later the Linnets got a third. Chris Bacon ran through and shot past Toal at his near post, keepers aren’t supposed to let in at their near post but he’d had such a good game we didn’t moan. But Mitchell Sherwood gave United a glimmer of hope, when he robbed Camm and ran on to fire past the onrushing Higgs.
Kings Lynn unfortunately managed to hold out a very nervous 15 minutes, but it didn’t bother them at full time as seconds before Holmes shot past Toal to give Kings Lynn the breathing space that they needed. A much-needed standard performance by United didn’t attack as well as I’d liked to but we still got two from mainly nothing. Roll On Tuesday!!!
Man Of The Match
Will Toal
I have given him stick as I am a goalkeeper, and some of his howlers he’s let in wouldn’t be acceptable at some clubs especially the first for Folkestone in the DMC. But some good saves today kept United in the match.
